Brian Gilmour

With nearly three decades of experience in the Scottish property industry, Brian Gilmour has established himself as a prominent figure. Graduating in Law, Brian initially delved into residential estate agency for 16 years, overseeing various offices in Glasgow and the West of Scotland. He then took charge of the Scottish land and new homes sector for the UK’s largest estate agency group.

In 2010, Brian ventured out on his own and founded a successful property company, where he collaborated with registered landlords and secured £7m on the retail bond market. Following the sale of this business, Brian launched Indigo Square, a thriving residential lettings and block management firm with branches in Glasgow and Ayrshire.

Known for his expertise in property matters, Brian is a familiar face to BBC Scotland viewers and listeners, frequently appearing as the go-to property expert and can be found fortnightly as “Mr Blue Sky” on the Radio Scotland morning property surgery segment. Additionally, he is a seasoned podcaster, hosting the world’s longest-running football fan podcast.



Steven Purcell

Steven Purcell is a politician to his finger-tips – but don’t let that put you off! An accomplished adviser on all issues of planning, development, local and national politics, Steven enjoyed a dynamic career running Scotland’s biggest city council before moving into business.

Steven was Leader of Glasgow City Council, Scotland’s largest local authority, from 2005 to 2010, at age 32, instrumental in winning the Commonwealth Games for Glasgow in 2014. Introduced the Glasgow Living Wage, (the first City in the UK to do so) and secured a historic number of apprenticeships between the public and private sector, offering school-leavers and others a route into meaningful work.

Steven is currently director of Twenty Ten Consultancy which he founded in 2010. Twenty Ten is an agile, highly specialised team of associates working in politically led public affairs, predominately in strategic planning consultancy, communications and business development, headquarted in Glasgow and advising public, private and civil society throughout the UK and beyond.


